Layton, UT (PRWEB) May 28, 2013
In March of 2013, Wayman Publishing was anonymously gifted an iPad Mini as a Random Act of Kindness. Wayman's editorial board then decided to give the iPad Mini away during a blogfest, running from May 27th-31st. Little did they know what a success the blogfest would be.
Over 60 authors have already signed up and written posts for the Random Acts of Kindness event. Wayman Publishing is not only offering the iPad Mini as a prize, they're also giving away 10 of their best-selling eBooks for free during this time through Amazon's KDP program.
"These posts are inspiring," says editor Janie Goltz. "Many lives will be touched through this blogfest."
This movement is dramatically affecting bloggers as well as communities. Dee Ready and EC Stilson—among many other authors—have begun sharing kindness with their writing in their own cities. Ready recently donated 50 copies of each of her books, "A Cat's Life: Dulcy's Story" as well as its companion book "A Cat's Legacy: Dulcy's Story," to several nursing homes. At Ready's request, Stilson was able to give 25 of those copies to a nursing home in her area. "The people were thrilled," says Stilson. "I brought my four kids with me. I played music, while my kids gave out scarves and danced for the patients. The activities coordinator said it was so much fun for everyone and that the children brightened everyone's day."
"This all started because of Wayman's Random Acts of Kindness Event," says Ready. "I sincerely hope they'll have another blogfest like this next year."
There is no doubt that many lives have been enriched from this blogfest that will continue until May 31st, 2013. The complimentary eBooks Wayman is offering, as an act of kindness, have already begun climbing sales' ranking charts. Pat Hatt's "The Honk of Zagonk," Dee Ready's "A Cat's Legacy," and Stilson's "Bible Girl & the Bad Boy" have already hit #2 on different Amazon's best-seller lists including women's memoir.
Wayman Publishing is proud that this event is off to such a great start. They're hoping many people will be inspired, while discovering new blogs and new books.
