OUR BODY: THE UNIVERSE WITHIN will open at the Science Museum Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on November 17, 2007, at the Gulf Coast Exploreum in Mobile, Alabama on January 12, 2008, at the venerable Witte Museum in San Antonio, Texas on January 25, 2008, and at Exploration Place in Wichita, Kansas on May 24, 2008.

This blockbuster exhibit premiered at the Orlando Science Center in November, 2006 and at the Detroit Science Center in January, 2007. With the opening of the third exhibit in September, 2007 at the Rochester Museum and Science Center, OUR BODY: THE UNIVERSE WITHIN has welcomed over 500,000 visitors. The public, media and press response has been overwhelmingly positive.

OUR BODY: THE UNIVERSE WITHIN shines a light on the alluring mystery of the human body through the presentation of actual human specimens combined with an inspirational and educational message. The exhibit literally, as well as figuratively, goes "under the skin" exposing the intricacy of the human body and allowing the general public to see what normally only doctors and scientists are allowed to see first hand. The exhibit showcases specimens preserved through a polymer impregnation process that replaces fluids with polymers that prevent decay and decomposition. What has distinguished this presentation from other exhibits are its multiple layers of educational resources and a visual and textual history of the study of anatomical artwork throughout the ages.
