Orriant Releases Corporate Wellness Case Study Results Highlighting the Success of a Police Sergeant and His Family
Date:6/7/2013

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) June 07, 2013

When Cache County Corporation in northern Utah implemented a solution from Orriant in order to lower employee healthcare costs, Sgt. Wyatt Goring of the County Sheriff’s Office took full advantage of the opportunity. “It was a process, I couldn’t even run around my block without it just killing me,” said Sgt. Goring. The customized coaching methods applied by Orriant’s corporate wellness programs paid off.

All Orriant health coaches are required to have a minimum of a four-year degree in a health-related field and pass a rigorous training program. This contributes to the robust and well-designed system Orriant is known for throughout the United States. With their nondiscriminatory and personalized programs, they also qualify for Federal wellness incentives, providing more cause for employers to take part in their services.

What did Sgt. Goring’s Orriant coach do for him and his family?

When Orriant began working with Sgt. Goring, many aspects were reviewed. He was told what wellness incentives were offered for his participation in the program. His coach covered all the standard areas of Orriant’s worksite wellness programs. These areas include the eating and exercise elements of good health. “I made a choice that I am going to change. I got with my coach at Orriant saying this is what I am going to do,” Sgt. Goring stated with a proud expression. Together, the Sgt. and his health coach formulated a plan to help him achieve some basic goals. Through the corporate wellness programs offered by Orriant, Goring was able to drop excess weight and increase his productivity.

After he made this choice to change his lifestyle, he began to see dramatic results that also extended to his family. He credits his employer for caring about their employees’ health and well-being and Orriant for educating him and his family of five children about good lifestyle habits. This has translated into a healthier employee who has a greater appreciation for life and his job, and a family with fewer doctor visits. As a result of his efforts to participate in this program, he and his family are receiving a reduced healthcare premium from his employer. The benefits of lower employee healthcare costs and Federal wellness incentives cannot be overstated, but there is also a personal reward for participation. The winning combination for Sgt. Goring and his family in utilizing Orriant’s corporate wellness program is feeling better, and reducing the risks of avoidable health conditions. As a result of changing his behavior, and getting persistent help from his Orriant coach, he is now living a happier and fuller life with the bonus of a discounted healthcare premium. Orriant’s unique, accountability-based corporate wellness programs are having this kind of impact amongst employees across the country.
