The Organic Wholesale Club launched its direct to consumer E-commerce site offering wholesale prices on over 15.000 organic and natural items. Using the Wholesale Club concept of charging a membership fee then offering huge discounts the Organic Wholesale club becomes the first organic and natural online retailer to do this with a large scale E-store.
(PRWEB) March 21, 2010 -- The Organic Wholesale Club’s mission is to provide a one-stop shopping club that delivers the largest variety of natural and organic products at the lowest price possible. Featuring Organic and natural Grocery, Personal care and supplements the Organic Wholesale Club hopes to build an environment that makes organic and natural products more affordable and supports a healthy lifestyle and a balanced earth. Each membership builds the foundation that keeps prices for all members low. Bob Wolf, founder of the club, says, “Our business model is based on revenue generated from supporting other organic and green businesses and not focused on mark up.”
The Organic Wholesale Club is able to offer discounts of around 30% off of SRP every day of the year. Monthly specials will bring additional discounts in the 35-50% range. To keep product prices low and give value to membership they have created affiliate programs with The Organic Wine Company (www.theorganicwinecompany.com) which offers organic wines shipped direct to the customer and the Greensbury Market (www.greensburymarket.com) which sells organic beef, chicken and pork products. Club members get 10% off all products in these web stores. More affiliates are being added weekly.
“Doing the right thing and making a reasonable profit are not exclusive of each other. As our group grows so will our ability to influence the price our customers pay for organic and natural products,” says Wolf.
Art Darrow, Bob Wolf, and Katherine Weiss founded the Organic Wholesale Club. Bob Wolf created the nation’s first organic and natural vending business in 2005 (www.organicvending.net). In just five years it has grown to hundreds of accounts including many school districts and colleges. Aramatic Refreshment, a major player in vending in several states, bought Organic Vending in 2008 and expanded the organic and natural line to over 2500 vending machines. Art Darrow, a 40-year vending and food service veteran, saw the demand for healthier products and acted on it. Katherine Weiss founded the Healthy Snack Store (www.healthysnackstore.com) in 2005 and, while working full time as an English teacher, built it into a thriving E-commerce site. Organic Wholesale Club bought the Healthy Snack Store in December 2009.
