Oregon Cosmetic Vein Center Opens in Portland, Among First on West Coast to Offer Brand New, FDA-Approved Procedures and Technologies
Date:5/28/2008

PORTLAND, Ore., May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Dr. F. Douglas Day, M.D., Founder and Medical Director of Day Medical Salon, announced the launch of the Oregon Cosmetic Vein Center (OCVC). The OCVC (http://www.oregoncosmeticveincenter.com) is one of the first West Coast vein clinics to offer the CoolTouch CTEV(R) Vein Removal Procedure and other new, FDA-approved treatments and technologies. The OCVC's investment in the very latest equipment and training delivers better results in fewer visits, a potential savings of money, time and discomfort for clients. The OCVC is conveniently located in the medical suites on the third floor of Portland's Lloyd Center Mall.

To celebrate its opening, the OCVC is offering a free ultrasound analysis for each patient, followed by a thorough examination by Dr. Day. Cosmetic vein conditions affect men and women of all ages, and can have an undesirable impact on one's appearance. Beyond cosmetic issues, many people are unaware that vascular insufficiencies can also be symptoms of serious underlying health issues related to poor blood circulation. These can result in pain, swelling, cramps, itching and restricted mobility. In extreme cases, the conditions can even become life threatening.

"If discovered early, vein abnormalities can sometimes be reversed with just a few treatments," said Dr. Day. "It's important that people understand the status of their vein health. We are offering free ultrasound to help our clients make informed decisions about maintaining their vascular health, as well as making desired improvements to their appearance."

The OCVC's treatments include the CoolTouch CTEV Vein Removal Procedure (Endovenous Laser Ablation), European Phlebectomy, Sclerotherapy (Injection Therapy) and Spectra VRM Laser Vein Removal. These minimally-invasive procedures correct issues including spider veins, varicose veins, ropey veins and stasis d
