President & CEO, Rob Lynch, Joins Canary's Board of Directors
SAN JOSE, Calif., April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH), a leading regional home improvement retailer, today announced a partnership with Canary Foundation, the world's first non-profit organization dedicated solely to the funding, discovery and development of tests for early cancer detection. Additionally, Rob Lynch, President & CEO of OSH has been appointed to Canary Foundation's Board of Directors.
OSH has named the Canary Foundation as its charity of choice and with the support of their vendor partners is providing major financial support to help create the Canary Institute. The Canary Institute is a "Center of Excellence" for cancer early detection located at Stanford University. OSH will also be hosting its 9th annual charity to benefit Canary Foundation in July 2008. As a new member of the Canary Foundation's board of directors, Rob Lynch will help further promote the organization's mission and work to ensure the effective running of its research programs.
Mr. Lynch joined OSH in early 2004 and has built a proven track record of driving significant organizational and operational change at many of the largest retailers in the U.S. He also currently serves as a member of the Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
