Michael Roizen, MD, and Philadelphia panel to reveal secrets behind healthy changes

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- New York Times best-selling author and RealAge cofounder Michael Roizen, MD, will share the secrets to motivating healthy behavior and patient success when he addresses the 8th annual ePharma Summit in Philadelphia on February 10, 2009. Sharing the stage with a patient of his who quit smoking, lost 35 pounds, and transformed her life, Dr. Roizen will relay insights he's gained both in his daily medical practice and from his exposure to millions of health seekers on RealAge.com.

"Once you know about the wondrous processes that take place underneath your flesh, you'll be better motivated to make changes that improve these systems," says Dr. Roizen, chief wellness officer at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Roizen drew on thousands of medical studies to develop the patented RealAge Test, which assesses a visitor's biological age as opposed to their chronological age. With four New York Times best-selling books to his credit, Dr. Roizen has appeared frequently on The Oprah Winfrey Show. His patient, Laura Plummer, has also become a regular on the show and will reveal to pharmaceutical marketers in Philadelphia how she made and sustained several dramatic health changes.
