Only 5% of Americans Getting 8 Hours of Sleep
Date:4/1/2013

Ocala, Florida (PRWEB) April 01, 2013

Lack of sleep is a common problem among Americans, with only 5% of people getting at least the recommended eight hours a night. This is a dangerous trend, because a lack of sleep affects productivity, can cause depression, and can even prove fatal; studies have shown that after seventeen continuously awake hours reaction time and driving skills are affected the same as a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.05. Stretch that awake time to twenty-four hours, and driving mimics a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.10, above the legal limit.

70% of people say that an uncomfortable mattress has kept them awake, and 56% of people say that they have changed their mattress to get a better night’s sleep. Dr Snooze has partnered with Simmons to help make the minimal sleep that American’s get more restful. Beautyrest and Comforpedic products have been proven to offer excellent back support and pressure relief. Since the new 2013 models are currently being stocked, Dr Snooze has purchased truckloads of 2012 model line mattress sets, at discount prices. They are offering 15% off on these new, unused sets, at their website http://www.drsnooze.com. This sale starts Monday, April 1st, and will continue until all 2012 sets have been sold.

A representative of Dr Snooze stated that “by keeping the sleeper undisturbed and within their deep sleep range, the same number of hours asleep can become refreshing, instead of just another night of tossing and turning. Beautyrest has individually pocketed coils, which keep the sleepers undisturbed, and in that deep sleep stage. “

She also mentioned that memory foam beds can be part of the solution for many people’s sleep problems. “Comforpedic mattress sets are memory foam, formulated with TruTemp gel, to assist those with sensitivity to heat at night. Comforpedics also increase circulation, decrease pressure, keep the spine in a natural position, and dampen motion between partners. Additionally, these beds are not susceptible to dust mites or bed bugs, for an allergy and parasite free sleep.”

Many Americans are unable to increase the amount of hours that they spend in bed, so Dr Snooze and Simmons Beautyrest are trying to make those hours count more; they’re trying to get the nation to wake up refreshed.
