Online Medical Supply Superstore Adds Cure Catheters to Product Mix

AllegroMedical.com partners with Cure to support medical research.

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) December 7, 2009 -- AllegroMedical.com is doing its part to help find a cure for spinal cord injury: The online retailer of medical supplies recently added Cure Catheters to its list of nearly 45,000 products.

Cure Medical is a forward-thinking manufacturer of catheters. In an effort to facilitate finding a cure for spinal cord injury, the company donates 10 percent of all of their pre-tax profits to medical research.

"We are pleased to be a part of the important work Cure Medical is doing here," said David Williams, Allegro's director of project management. "As a major online retailer for medical supplies, we hope that including Cure Catheters in our catalog will boost their sales and, in turn, their donations."

Allegro Medical lists more than 450 urinary catheters in their online catalog. Cure Medical manufacturers their catheters without either DEHP or latex. DEHP is a plasticizer that is a known carcinogen and appears to be linked to the high rate of bladder cancer among people with spinal cord injuries. Latex, on the other hand, is a common allergen. Despite the problems associated with DEHP and latex, both are routinely used in manufacturing catheters and other medical products.

Cure Medical also strives to make their catheters more comfortable than the competition's. Eyelets are smooth and fire polished, and the catheters come in a variety of sizes and styles for maximum comfort.
