One Man's Determined Journey to Remission and a Renewed Sense of Faith
Date:1/8/2009

'Wally has been one of the most amazing recovery cases I have ever witnessed during my medical career.' - Michael Kronenberger, MD, Otolaryngology, Dallas, TX

DALLAS, Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- In the span of four years, Wally Hogland suffered a stroke, was laid off at Christmas and diagnosed with advanced stage IV cancer.

"When my doctor came in and told me that I had cancer," says Hogland, tears welling up in his eyes at the painful recollection. "My mind descended into a deep, dark pit."

It was only after the momentous decision to surrender himself to God that he found his way out of that pit and towards the healing source behind his new book, Second Chance for Life.

Motivated to write about prayerful healing through faith while struggling through a grueling regimen of radiation therapy, the first-time author was witness to an overwhelming lack of hope among patients and families torn apart by cancer diagnoses and treatments.

"I dug into God's Word and applied it to my life and my broken situation," says the Dallas-based family man. "I was able to find light in the darkness surrounding me and was lifted up into wellness to share with others the story of my own miraculous recovery."

Hogland's book not only chronicles his recovery but is filled with inspirational quotes from scripture as well as from some of today's most well-known spiritual leaders: Joel Osteen, Wayne Dyer and Deepak Chopra--to name just a few.

Also uncovered in a Second Chance for Life are the importance of the following:

  • No denial ... ever!
  • Connecting to the energy source that is God
  • Healing through faith and visualization
  • The union of science and God
  • Spiritual growth and the true purpose of adversity ...... and much more!
