Omaha School of Massage Therapy Adds Healthcare Programs, Joins Herzing University, and Changes Name

OMAHA, Neb., Aug. 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The highly regarded massage school now offers healthcare programs and regional accreditation, both attributed to becoming a part of Herzing University in May 2009. The school name has been changed to Omaha School of Massage and Healthcare of Herzing University (OSMHC) to reflect the new curriculum and university integration. The new Medical Assisting program and Medical Billing and Insurance Coding program are both slated to begin classes in September.

"Our roots at the OSMHC stem from the school's sincere desire to educate students and help them build bright futures, and since 1991 we've concentrated on massage therapy programs as our medium to do this," said Campus President, Steve Carper. "Now, we'd like to include in our student body those who have passions in other areas of healthcare. This will also give us the opportunity to help fill the increasing need for well-trained medical professionals in the Omaha community."
