Ohio Selects Policy Studies Inc. (PSI) to Continue Operating Its New Hire Reporting Program
Date:2/12/2008

DENVER, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- PSI, a leading provider of child support enforcement services to government agencies, announced today the signing of a contract with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) to continue delivering new hire reporting services for the State -- a program the company has operated since 1999. The new contract will run for an initial period of one-and-a-half years with two one-year extensions.

Key responsibilities under the contract include collecting and processing new hire data in a timely manner, delivering exceptional customer service, and continuing to fine-tune and implement a targeted outreach campaign to increase employer awareness on their new hire reporting responsibilities.

New hire reporting is an integral component of the child support program that involves collaborating with employers to match reports of recently hired employees against records of parents who owe child support. It became mandatory for employers and states under the 1996 Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act.

Explains PSI's Executive Vice President Eric Rubin, "We're excited that the State has chosen us to continue working on this key child support enforcement effort. We'll continue producing positive results in Ohio and deliver the high level of performance and service the State has come to expect. We know that a successful new hire reporting program means greater stability for more Ohio families and children."

With more than 20 years' experience in child support enforcement, PSI has led the way in developing technology and best practices to facilitate employer compliance with new hire laws. The company currently manages new hire operations for 22 states and the District of Columbia. In 2006, PSI processed more than 30 million transactions, offering states unparalleled expertise.
