Practice Seeks Efficiencies, Cost Reduction
TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Sage Software today announced that Navarre Avenue OB/GYN, based in Oregon, Ohio, has selected Intergy EHR by Sage for the practice's Electronic Health Records needs.
The practice began its Electronic Health Records search earlier this year, according to Joni Tarver, Office Manager of Navarre Avenue OB/GYN. While the office has a single physician, the practice's rapid growth and lack of chart space prompted the need, she said.
"As our practice has grown, we've simply run out of space for additional charts," Tarver said. She noted that of the vendors they researched, the practice invited in two for onsite demonstrations. Tarver said Sage Software was the hands-down choice.
"The Intergy system allows us to utilize statistical reporting for purposes of quality improvement and outcome reporting," Tarver said. "Intergy also expedites billing and makes it more accurate."
Navarre sees about 4,500 patients per year, non-inclusive of deliveries and surgeries, creating a windfall of charting and billing needs.
It's this type of burden on practices that Sage Software targets with its solutions, according to company leadership.
"OB/GYN is one specialty with an enormous need in terms of volume and charting," said Sharon Howard, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Sage Software Healthcare, Inc. "Sage Software has invested a great deal in research and development in order to unearth these types of specialty needs and develop products that specifically aim to address them."
Tarver notes that her practice is always seeking ways to increase efficiency and reduce costs while continuing to provide quality care. Intergy helps Navarre do just that, she said.
