Ohio Man Charged After Confessing To Drunk Driving Death
Date:9/13/2013

Miami, Florida (PRWEB) September 13, 2013

CBS News Affiliate WBNS reports (9/9) in their news story, Matthew Cordle Update: Ohio man charged with vehicular homicide after posting online video confessing to driving drunk, causing deadly crash, that a man who confessed online that he killed a man while driving drunk has been charged for the death. A grand jury has indicted Matthew Cordle, 22, for aggravated vehicular homicide and operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He could receive more than 8 years in prison.

When Cordle was tested at the hospital following his injuries, he was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.191, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 in Ohio, when he drove the wrong way down a road and crashed into a vehicle driven by Vincent Canzani, 61, on June 22, killing him.

Cordle urged others to learn from his mistake and not to drink and drive. "When I get charged I will plead guilty," Cordle said in the video. "I can't erase what I've done."

Driving drunk can cause dangerous situations, which can result in property damage and the taking of other lives. Alcohol abuse is a serious problem that can cost an addict their career, home, family, friends and self respect. Anyone with an alcohol dependency should check into a 24/7 medically supervised detox center such as Harbor Village, an alcoholism treatment center, and receive the help they deserve to recover.
