Schroer is also active locally, working with local boys and girls clubs, community services and, of course, the Canton Football Hall of Fame. The same passion that drives him to lead OHCA has well served his community and employees.

Schroer resides in Canton, Ohio.

The Ohio Health Care Association is a non-profit association of more than 700 nursing facilities, assisted living residences and facilities for individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities, caring for nearly 74,000 Ohio residents. It is the largest long-term care association in the state, and the only chartered Ohio affiliate of the American Health Care Association, representing 20,000 long-term care facilities nationwide.
