Ogilvy Named Agency of Record for UnitedHealthcare
Date:3/17/2009

NEW YORK, March 17 /PRNewswire/ --- UnitedHealthcare, a UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH) company, has named Ogilvy New York as its advertising agency of record.

UnitedHealthcare challenged the agency to help reinforce the company's position as a leader in delivering quality, cost-effective health care coverage solutions, with a particular emphasis on reaching the business-to-business community. By working closely with employers, brokers and consultants, UnitedHealthcare is helping create and drive more personalized health care programs that effectively engage employees in making better health decisions, improving their health outcomes, and lowering overall costs.

Ogilvy presented a 360-degree campaign to UnitedHealthcare with strategic and creative contributions from multiple agency disciplines, reinforcing the agency's ability to effectively build the brand and the business using a variety of communications channels.

"Health care is becoming an increasingly personalized experience; therefore we wanted to partner with an agency that can effectively reach our various stakeholders across multiple touch points with a unified but unique message," said Chris Gibson, chief marketing officer for UnitedHealthcare. "Ogilvy brought together an experienced team committed to bringing us best-in-class discipline expertise across all marketing channels."

Ogilvy emerged from an initial roster of more than 15 agencies, and Select Resources was engaged by UnitedHealthcare to conduct the review.

"We're thrilled to be working with a national health care leader in UnitedHealthcare," said Carla Hendra, Chairman of Ogilvy New York. "We quickly recognized that this is an innovative company making enormous, positive contributions to how employers and individuals access and use health benefits, and they have an exciting story to tell."
