Obesity in America: World-Renowned Health Educator Offers Solutions to Obesity Epidemic

Obesity in America has risen to all-time highs and the American public is looking for a real solution. Leading authority on leptin and obesity, Byron J. Richards, has taken a strong stand on the epidemic in his recent article: Obesity Trend out of Control. His article states the causes and fixes to this epidemic.

(PRWEB) July 6, 2010 -- Board-Certified Clinical Nutritionist and author of Mastering Leptin and The Leptin Diet, Byron J. Richards, has been battling the obesity epidemic in America by educating the public on the importance of leptin, a key hormone that controls the success of optimum weight loss. Richards used his nutritional expertise to give insight on the recent independent report, F as in Fat: How Obesity Threatens America’s Future 2010. His key insight was captured in his article, Obesity Trend out of Control and was released June 29, 2010. His article gives hope for a brighter, slimmer future.

Richards writes that America’s all-time-high obesity rating is directly attributed to wrong information about nutrition and poor quality of food. “The obesity problem is complicated by multiple endocrine-disrupting compounds that permeate our environment and food supply,” Richards writes in his article. “It is made worse by the addition of GMO toxic and mutated food into our food supply. And it is locked in place by an industry that knows quite well how to create brand addiction by stimulating the subconscious brain with a variety of unnatural chemicals in combination with salt, refined sugar, and fat. The bottom line is a society that is addicted to food garbage.”

Obesity in America can be fixed. Richards states that with more education about the effects of leptin, a key hormone that regulates appetite and metabolism, America can slim down. One of the many ways Richards educates about leptin is through his books, The Leptin Diet: How Fit Is Your Fat and Mastering Leptin. Another is his development of the popular Leptin Diet ®, which has helped thousands lose weight by learning to control the leptin in their bodies by how they eat.

Richards also fights the obesity epidemic with a free weekly natural health newsletter that offers breaking news on natural health, expert health tips for weight loss and answers about controversial health issues not found in mainstream media.

“It takes some hard work, but anyone interested can make changes,” Richards said. “There are no quick fixes or miracle pills to take, but there is a common sense path to a workable solution for most people.”
