Obesity Action Coalition Calls on PETA to Immediately End Campaign Stigmatizing Overweight and Obese Individuals
Date:8/19/2009

nstrumental in many national and state-based issues throughout the past four years. Perhaps the most notable moment in the OAC's history was the hosting of the Walk from Obesity - Walk on the Capitol where nearly 3,000 individuals left an ever-standing imprint in Washington, DC, for obesity rights and awareness.

The OAC is a nonprofit organization, consisting of members affected by obesity in all 50 states, dedicated to educating and advocating on behalf of those affected by obesity, morbid obesity and childhood obesity. The OAC's focus is unique as it represents the views, interests and rights of the nearly 1/3 of all Americans who are personally affected by obesity.
