Date:4/29/2009

rborn, Detroit, Livonia, Romulus and Taylor. Management of the day-to-day operations of the facilities will continue to be overseen by Dr. Saffer's management company. The Dearborn Town Center will serve as the new home of the Dearborn Midwest Health Center, which has been serving the community for many years.

"For more than 30 years, I've focused on meeting the healthcare needs of the people in this community," said Dr. Saffer. "I look forward to expanding the practice into an innovative new medical facility where our excellent physicians and their staff can continue to provide the best care for their patients."

Despite the current economic climate, Oakwood is committed to providing excellence in care, healing and health to the individuals and communities it serves. With the acquisition of the Midwest Health Centers, Oakwood and Dr. Saffer believe the opportunity to provide a comprehensive array of healthcare services while growing the business will have an important impact on the community.

"Although the economy and the healthcare industry is severely challenged, Oakwood realizes it is an economic engine for the region," said Doug Welday, chief financial officer, OHI. "I'm proud to say this project is one of those opportunities that will revitalize the community while positively impacting our future and directly benefiting those who live and work in this community."

The groundbreaking ceremony signifies the beginning of a partnership and a state-of-the-art development that will serve the Dearborn community and southeast Michigan for years to come.
