O2 Media's Hit Morning TV Show ‘The Balancing Act' Welcomes Atkins Nutritionals to the Program
Date:5/15/2010

The Balancing Act is always looking for safe and healthy ways of eating—even when you are dieting. That’s why we invited Atkins Nutritionals to the show. The Atkins Nutritional Approach™ focuses on a healthy diet with reduced levels of refined carbohydrates and refined sugars, and encourages the consumption of lean protein, fiber, fruits, vegetables and “good” fats. They’ve joined our show to talk about their newest changes for the better. Tune in to The Balancing Act Thursday, May 20th at 7:00am (ET/PT) as they air on Lifetime Television.

The Balancing Act, along with Atkins Nutritionals, explains how to move from phase to phase of the plan, how to discover your personal carb tolerance, and how to avoid symptoms that sometimes occur as you switch from a carb-heavy metabolism. You’ll also hear advice on eating out, including fast food restaurants. They promise you can do Atkins™ anywhere.

Atkins™ is now far more flexible. You can do it as a vegetarian, and even as a vegan. You can adapt Atkins™ to Latino cuisine or a kosher diet. You can start in any of the first three phases if you prefer. You can choose from two approaches in Lifetime Maintenance, depending upon your carb tolerance. You can decide when and what kind of physical activity you want to add to your program.

Atkins™ is backed by science. Numerous rigorously conducted studies show it to be a prescriptive diet for reducing risk of heart disease, diabetes and metabolic syndrome, a
