Nyer Medical Appoints Sandra Zimmerman as Chief Financial Officer

HOLLISTON, Mass., Feb. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Nyer Medical Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NYER) today announced the appointment of Sandra Zimmerman as chief financial officer. Ms. Zimmerman, a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, brings more than 30 years of responsible financial oversight to her new management position. For the past ten years, Ms. Zimmerman has run a consulting business that provides financial expertise to small and mid-sized companies. Prior to that time, Ms. Zimmerman held a number of increasingly responsible financial roles at Digital Equipment Corporation, Computervision, Lexidata, and Data Printer. She began her career at the accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand.
