NuvaRing Lawsuit News: First New Jersey NuvaRing Trial Scheduled to Start This Week, Rottenstein Law Group LLP Reports
Date:6/18/2013

(PRWEB) June 18, 2013

The first trial of New Jersey NuvaRing lawsuits was set to begin on June 17, after being postponed for two months. The Rottenstein Law Group LLP, a NuvaRing law firm, maintains the NuvaRing Legal Information Center at http://www.rotlaw.com/nuvaring, which is designed to provide information on NuvaRing lawsuits and more information about the drug’s side effects.

This is one of the more than 200 NuvaRing birth control device cases pending in a multicounty litigation consolidation in New Jersey, according to court documents in In Re: NuvaRing Litigation, Docket No. BER-L-3081-09, New Jersey Superior Court, Bergen County. Among the side effects plaintiffs assert is the risk of blood clots. The British Medical Journal published a study that found a six-and-a-half-fold to eightfold increase in the risk of clots in women who use vaginal ring contraceptives.*

“The firm is glad to see these cases going to trial,” said Rochelle Rottenstein, principal of the Rottenstein Law Group LLP. “It is important that those who claim to have been injured by their birth control device get their opportunity to have their cases heard.”

The Rottenstein Law Group LLP encourages those women who believe their NuvaRing contraceptive device has injured them to download a free informational brochure designed to offer background on the device and information on how to file a NuvaRing lawsuit.
