Nutrisystem Announces Latest Weight Loss Success Story: Ken Shooltz of Jennings, Florida Drops 120 Pounds
Date:1/14/2013

Fort Washington, PA (PRWEB) January 14, 2013

Nutrisystem reveals their latest weight loss success story. When Ken Shooltz of Jennings, Florida was about 30, he started trying to lose weight on every diet around – from high-fat, high fiber diets, to nothing but salads and even the infamous “cabbage soup diet.”

Shooltz would regain weight almost immediately every time. On vacation in China with his wife, Krista, Shooltz was dubbed “The Happy Buddha” and became the group’s mascot. He returned to the U.S. humiliated and angry with himself and was determined to do something.

His wife, Krista, who later became a Nutrisystem success story, suggested he give the program a try. The first week, Shooltz dropped weight and was hooked on the taste of the foods and the convenience of the Nutrisystem program.

Nutrisystem, which is based on 40 years of nutrition research and the science of the low glycemic index, offers a variety of great tasting, satisfying, good carbohydrate meals (over 150 menu options) that are designed to be heart healthy.

Now 120 pounds lighter*, Shooltz, who has made a lot of long-lasting friends through Nutrisystem, feels he’s added years to his life and is pleased with his success: “My family is extremely proud of me, my doctor is thrilled with the weight loss, but most importantly, I am proud of myself.”

Nutrisystem® programs appeal to a wide-range of people interested in losing weight for a variety of reasons -- people like Dr. Michael Haney, a physician who understood the need to lose weight to become a better role model for his family and patients;
