NutriSystem Helps Consumers Lose Weight, Save Money and Be Healthy With Debut of New Products, New Distribution Channels and New Website

HORSHAM, Pa., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- In 2008, NutriSystem helped Americans lose 9,187,775 pounds for as low as $3 a meal. To continue to help customers lose weight, save money and eat healthy, NutriSystem announced today a major innovation initiative themed "My NutriSystem. My Way!". The initiative includes new flexible program options, new menu items with a new fresh-frozen line of meals, an expansion of distribution channels to provide even more consumers easy access to NutriSystem, and a major redesign of NutriSystem.com, the company's successful ecommerce site.

"NutriSystem has been the proven weight loss and weight management solution for our customers for 36 years. We are committed to providing customized weight loss programs that fit a variety of our customers' lifestyles," said Joe Redling, NutriSystem's Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. "To that end, we have embarked on major initiatives in product innovation, website redesign, and sales and distribution channel partnerships."

NutriSystem announced the launch of its new Select Weight Loss Plan, which enables customers to choose from 170 mouth-watering menu items, including 80 new dishes including new fresh-frozen meals. Customers can enjoy gourmet, restaurant quality fresh-frozen menu items such as: Creamy Shrimp Alfredo, Portobello Mushroom with Beef Tips, and Ice Cream! NutriSystem's delicious foods are delivered straight to customers' homes.

NutriSystem has also launched Flex, NutriSystem's most flexible weight loss program. With the brand new Flex program, customers can enjoy the freedom of preparing their own meals at home or enjoy eating out, while still getting the results they want by applying NutriSystem principles to their daily lives.
