Leveraging NutriSystem's industry-leading scientific research, NutriSystem Advanced is the most comprehensive wellness initiative yet for the company, which has served more than 1.3 million clients in 2007, including Tori Spelling, Marie Osmond, Tony Orlando, Dan Marino, Joey Fatone and many other celebrities. The NutriSystem patent-pending technologies aided in the development of heart-healthy, high-satiety enhancements, including soluble fibers and Omega-3 fatty acids, for the new NutriSystem Advanced offerings.

NutriSystem Advanced includes dozens of great-tasting new meals, all of which contain one of NutriSystem's new, proprietary blends of heart-healthy ingredients. Primary among these are OmegaSol(TM), a patent-pending combination of heart-healthy soluble fibers and Omega-3 fatty acids that work to help promote a healthy heart while losing weight, and NutriSol(TM), an additional blend of soluble fibers that are naturally present in oats, fruits and whole grains and help reduce hunger and control appetite. NutriSystem Advanced continues to build upon the Glycemic Advantage(TM) by using "good carbs" in all of its foods.

"We are so proud to offer our first program to combine weight-loss, these heart-healthy ingredients, and great tasting food all in one," said Joseph M. Redling, President and Chief Operating Officer of NutriSystem. "NutriSystem Advanced has undergone three years of extensive research and development. We are renewing our commitment to our customers by responding to their needs, helping them obtain their weight-loss and wellness targets, and providing them with the best food and best support system in the industry."

"Simply put, NutriSystem Advanced is the breakthrough weight-loss program of 2008. Based on our core program, NutriSystem Advanced still features all the benefits of portion control, calorie control and low-glycemic carbohydrates, but we've also added ingredients to help your heart, and help keep you feeling full longer," said Dr. Jay Satz, Vice President of Program and Product Development.

"Utilizing the great-tasting foods from our low-fat and low-cholesterol program, and adding Omega-3 fatty acids and soluble fiber, we have created both a heart support and weight-loss program that targets cravings and hunger."

Furthering NutriSystem's holistic approach, the NutriSystem Advanced program includes a personalized Results Kit that features Mindset Makeover, an insightful and motivational behavior guide. Renowned fitness experts Leslie Sansone and Vaughn Hebron have added to the heart benefits of the Advanced Program by creating exercise DVDs exclusively for NutriSystem Advanced participants. The Results Kit also offers a customized meal planner, online community access information, a Quick Start Guide and more. As always, the program has no membership fees and includes free online and telephone counseling.

NutriSystem Advanced features seven unique programs which include: Women's Program, Men's Program, Women's Diabetic Program, Men's Diabetic Program, Women's Silver Program, Men's Silver Program, and Vegetarian Program.
