Nov. 10 Webinar on Dementia Prevention in Senior Communities to Discuss Brain Fitness Programming with UCLA's Dr. Gary Small

Moderated by McKnight's Long Term Care News

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Gary Small, a well-known memory/longevity expert and director of the UCLA Center on Aging, will discuss the role of brain fitness in senior living communities' resident wellness programming in a webinar to be held at 2 pm EST on Monday, November 10. The session will be moderated by John O'Connor, VP & Editorial Director, McKnight's Long-Term Care News and McKnight's Assisted Living.

"Brain Fitness: Preventing Dementia -- The New Frontier of Resident Wellness" will address the benefits of offering brain fitness services, the conclusions of various medical research studies related to the role of brain exercise in combating dementia, and steps that senior living providers can take to add brain fitness to their wellness programming.

"More operators are embracing brain fitness programs as a way to help residents delay or prevent cognitive decline. In a relatively short period, brain fitness has begun to revolutionize the way eldercare is delivered," O'Connor noted. "Its potential for improving residents' quality of life is practically unlimited."
