'The good stuff from yogurt(TM) in an easy-to-swallow caplet.'

VANCOUVER, Wash., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Northwest Natural Products announces the launch of AccuFlora Pro-Biotic Acidophilus, a combination of five types of beneficial bacteria that improves digestion naturally and supports a healthy immune system with the good stuff from yogurt in an easy-to-swallow caplet.

According to MayoClinic.com, there is growing public and scientific interest in probiotics. Recent research suggests a number of new potential uses for probiotics. One study in Sweden found that a group of employees who were given probiotics missed less work due to illness than did employees who were not given probiotics. Other studies have found probiotics to be helpful in managing the signs and symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).(1)

Rich meals, fast food, preservatives, refined sugars, stress and prescription drugs can all affect your body's digestion. AccuFlora utilizes a patented technology that protects the caplet from harsh stomach acids so it reaches the intestinal tract, where probiotics are most beneficial. AccuFlora offers the good stuff from yogurt in a convenient, easy-to-swallow caplet.

"Many people experience an upset stomach quite frequently, but what most don't realize is the important role that digestion plays in keeping us healthy," says Mary Galloway, Research & Development Manager for Northwest Natural Products, Inc. "In fact, almost 70 percent of your immune system is located in the gastrointestinal tract. A poor digestive system can affect the body's ability to fight off illness and properly digest food. Taking AccuFlora everyday can significantly help improve both overall health and digestion while adding a boost to the body's immune system."

AccuFlora is now available in the vitamin aisle of food, drug and club stores nationwide. For more information, visit http://ww
