Northern Westchester Hospital Recognized as National Leader in Patient Safety

Northern Westchester Hospital announced today that it has earned an “A” Hospital Safety Score (SM) from the Leapfrog Group. The nonprofit group assigns scores to more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals as part of its Hospital Safety Score initiative. Scores are based on preventable medical errors, injuries, accidents, and infections and are designed to give the public information that they can use to protect themselves and their families. The “A” score places Northern Westchester Hospital among the safest New York hospitals, as well as the safest in the nation.

AARP The Magazine also reported in the April/ May 2013 issue that Northern Westchester Hospital is one of only 16 New York Hospitals on the list, and one of the 66 safest hospitals in America.
