Northampton, MA (PRWEB) April 10, 2013

Dr. Teddi Olszewski is the newest doctor at Northampton Family and Cosmetic Dentistry to offer Biolase, one of the latest advancements in dentistry that helps eliminate needles, scalpels, and numbness in dental procedures. Dr. Olszewski has received extensive training with this form of laser dentistry for both hard and soft tissue procedures and now offers it to dental patients in the Northampton, MA.

“Biolase has really changed the way we do dentistry,” said Dr. Teddi Olszewski. “Laser dentistry is becoming more popular with dentists as well as patients because it allows for a more efficient and less painful experience during the procedure, and long-lasting results afterward. We’re proud to be one of the first in the area to provide our patients with this option.”

At Northampton Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, Biolase is used to treat both teeth and gums and allows for greater precision during treatment. When used on teeth, also known as hard tissue, a dental laser can eliminate the need for drills and anesthetic for filling cavities. With the Waterlase addition, patients are also provided with an added element of comfort as it helps eliminate friction and heat typically felt with dental drills. When used on gums, also known as soft tissue, a dental laser essentially replaces the need for scalpels and sutures for gum removal, soft tissue folds, crown lengthening, and other procedures.

Reviews of Dr. Teddi Olszewski’s laser dental treatments have been outstanding, with many reporting that the pain typically felt during routine dental restorations was significantly decreased.

In addition to offering the latest in laser dentistry, Dr. Teddi Olszewski is highly specialized in cosmetic dentistry, specifically with implant placement and restoration. She is the newest member of the Northampton Family and Cosmetic Dentistry staff, joining the practice in February 2013.

Dr. Olszewski completed her dental education at Tufts University School of Dentistry in 2006, where she also completed a general practice residency. During her residency in Boston, she was a part of the largest dental operating room dental rehabilitation program for patients with special needs. Her expertise with intricate dental surgeries has been an excellent addition to the Northampton Family and Cosmetic Dentistry team.
