North Florida Sculptra Expert, Richard Sadove MD, Comments on FDA Approval

GAINESVILLE, Fla., July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Sanofi-aventis US announced yesterday that the FDA approved Sculptra for the correction of facial wrinkles in healthy patients in the USA. It offers results that last for years. Dr Sadove, a Gainesville Plastic Surgeon, has 7 years of experience with the product while abroad. It was approved in Europe(CE) for over a decade.

Sanofi-aventis is a leading global pharmaceutical company. The FDA approval is based on results from a multicenter study of 233 patients. "We are excited by the FDA approval of Sculptra because it changes what doctors can offer patients that is long lasting and natural looking," said Richard Sadove MD former Associate Professor Plastic Surgery at the University of Florida and now private practice in Gainesville.

"Sculptra Aesthetic showed effective correction of the nasolabial folds (smile lines), which are considered to be the hallmark signs of facial aging," said Paul Chew, MD Chief Science/Medical Officer, Sanofi-aventis US, in a press release released by Sanofi-aventis.
