Newly Launched Medical Site, HTG, Cautions Women to Pay Close Attention to Specific Symptoms Post Pregnancy

Hemorrhoid Treatment Group (HTG) cautioned women to pay close attention and monitor any suspected hemorrhoid symptoms. This caution came following Daiji World’s December 13th article, “Stretch Marks Major Concern Post-Pregnancy.” The article revealed that one of the greatest concerns for West Indian women is the possibility of stretch marks following pregnancy. While this is a common concern, fewer women worry about the potential health issues that can arise post pregnancy, including the possibility of hemorrhoids. This particular malady is common post pregnancy, and can be treated quite easily.

Daiji World’s article identified stretch marks as being the primary source of concern for most women post pregnancy. Rather than health issues, most women are concerned with the physical changes that are brought about by a post-baby body. In addition to stretch marks, most women are concerned about the speed of weight loss and muscle tightening. Additionally, the article identified water consumption and diet as key components in both weight loss and stretch mark prevention.

Just as the article suggests, diet plays a large role in the prevention of stretch marks and excessive weight gain. However, post pregnancy, women must be careful to focus on more than physical appearance and attaining their pre-pregnancy figures. Women must pay close attention to their bodies, including any aches or pains—particularly in the areas most used during birth. This may include both the interior and exterior portions of the rectum, as hemorrhoids may present following the intense pressure placed upon the lower abdomen during childbirth. Symptoms may include pain during bowel movements, blood in one’s stool, discomfort when sitting, and a swolle
