Sue Ross, Director of Laboratory Services for Mid Coast Hospital, cited the extensive safety features throughout the system as the primary reasons for choosing SafeTrace Tx. "After a thorough search for transfusion software, we were impressed with Wyndgate software's ability to grow with our expanding department and interface with our existing Laboratory Information System." Ms. Ross continued, "Our hospital's recent unprecedented growth requires a user-friendly transfusion system that can grow with us. SafeTrace Tx is a Windows(R)-based system which will help create efficiencies in the lab. It will also help us to increase safety by accurately tracking patient and product compatibility."

SafeTrace Tx is uniquely designed to support the full scale of transfusion services from enterprise-wide centralized facilities to small, individual hospital laboratories. Advanced functionality in SafeTrace Tx, such as electronic crossmatch, automated patient special needs tracking and antigen/antibody functionality, will assist Mid Coast in matching patients for transfusions. SafeTrace Tx is intended to help raise the standard of care for patients, improve safety, reduce waste and increase efficiency for blood transfusion services.
