Stent for Life is an initiative of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI), the registered branch of the ESC and EuroPCR aimed at ensuring that the majority of ST-elevated myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients have equal access to the life saving indication of pPCI.

During the session Professor Steen Dalby Kristensen will reveal preliminary, unpublished data from an EAPCI/ESC survey of 33 ESC countries which shows stark variations in pPCI rates across Europe.

Professor Petr Widimsky (Czech Republic), the first Stent for Life chair, will also present data showing that primary PCI is not just saving lives but is also cost effective.

Other presenters will discuss implementation challenges and successes in the Stent for Life countries. Don't miss this opportunity to hear the latest data on pPCI implementation in Europe.
