Rochester. For the past 20 years, Dr. Swenson has played an integral role in the growth and development of the AT profession in NYSPHSAA’s Section V. He is the supervising physician for the USM clinic-outreach ATs and was integral in the development of AT reimbursement for clinic-based patient care. Dr. Swenson has served as a volunteer physician at the Empire State Games (ESG) for over 20 years and has presented on multiple occasions at the NYSATA Conference. Dr. Swenson acts as team orthopedist for SUNY Brockport and several Rochester-area high schools. He is a founding member of the University of Rochester Sports Concussion Program which includes a Concussion Clinic for walk-in patients. Most recently, he was a speaker at the 2013 EATA/BCBS of WNY Head Injury Seminar.

Paul Lasinksi, ATC, Head AT at Harborfields High School (Long Island) and preceptor in the Stony Brook University AT Education Program (ATEP) was the recipient of the John Sciera Service Award. He currently serves as NYSATA’s Secondary School Committee chair and sits on the Safety Committee for the NYS Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA). Mr. Lasinski was instrumental in the coordinated NYSATA response to the NYS Concussion Management and Awareness Act and served as a reviewer on the NYSED’s Guidelines for Concussion Management in the School Setting (2012).
