New York Doctors Can Receive a No-Cost Solution For Electronic Prescribing In Time For March Deadline
Date:2/19/2015

Santa Rosa Beach, FL (PRWEB) February 19, 2015

iPrescribe, a website and service can save New York clinicians up to $1,000 in administrative costs by giving providers a free subscription to their comprehensive electronic prescription service.

On March 27, 2015, all New York providers must issue all of their prescriptions electronically, which is a completely paperless process. Electronic prescriptions are intended to improve patient safety and reduce medical errors that are commonly associated with paper prescriptions. This new requirement is part of the Internet System for Tracking Over-Prescribing law, which is also intended to limit New Yorkers’ ability to shop around to different pharmacies and providers with a paper script for the best price and to prevent abuse and addiction to prescription painkillers.

The challenge with many electronic prescription services is its cost as providers and their offices must upgrade their electronic medical record systems and functionality in order to meet the electronic prescription deadline of March 27, 2015.

iPrescribe comes as a welcome revenue relief to many New York providers as clinicians are already facing revenue challenges. iPrescribe offers a no-cost solution to providers so that they can save money while still meeting the e-prescribe deadline.

iPrescribe.net offers free access to its software for New York providers. The purpose of the iPrescribe service is to provide New York clinicians with a secure and efficient electronic prescription service so that they can meet the electronic prescription deadline.

iPrescribe.net offers its service free to any New York provider. iPrescribe is pre-loaded with over 31,000 FDA approved medications including all available dosages and uses the SureScripts software system, a certified e-prescription network. iPrescribe does not offer EPCS.

With iPrescribe, providers can securely transmit and receive electronic prescriptions, send prescriptions and receive refill notices with their platform, create preference template for faster future prescribing and more.

The accessibility and security of new IT applications allow medical providers to meet certain federal regulatory requirements while also enhancing communication and care with their patients.
