New York Chiropractor, Dentist Join Forces to Battle TMJ (temporomandibular joint disorder)
Date:1/20/2009

. Mobilia.

"The key is a harmonious balance between the teeth, muscle, the jaw joint, cervical spine and associated structures," Mobilia said.

When the jaw is misaligned, both the hard and soft tissues are affected and many physiological problems can result, such as headaches, jaw pain, neck and shoulder pain, tinnitus, and clicking or popping sounds in the jaw joint. In a number of cases, these symptoms are the result of TMJ.

"TMJ's origins and effects can impact many different parts and systems of the body. By working together (with Dr. Shoshany), our goal is to examine all of the issues regarding TMJ using our combined knowledge to paint a clearer picture for the patient."

Additionally, both Dr. Mobilia and Dr. Shoshany utilize the latest technology to aid their unique form of patient care, such as the use of digital imagery.

"This unique, comprehensive approach -- coupled with the most current in medical technology - is designed to benefit the patient," Shoshany said.
