Nationally recognized New York brain injury attorney Michael V. Kaplen, partner at De Caro & Kaplen, LLP, will lecture to attorneys on the topics of taking the deposition and cross-examining the defense expert at the 26th Annual Conference of Brain Injury Legal Issues, sponsored by the North American Brain Injury Society (NABIS) on Saturday, November 21, 2013 in New Orleans, LA.

Kaplen is a professorial lecturer in law at the George Washington University Law School, Washington, DC. He is scheduled to teach the only course on the legal aspects of traumatic brain injury in the United States.

Kaplen and his partner Shana De Caro have concentrated their legal practice on representing victims of traumatic brain injury caused by car, bus, and truck crashes, as well as unsafe buildings, dangerous construction sites, and medical malpractice for the past 30 years. They are leading legal authorities in traumatic brain injury representation and are guest authors on the legal aspects of traumatic brain injury for the New York Law Journal.
