New Non-Surgical Laser Treatment Helps Patients Live Pain Free
Date:5/27/2009

soothe and heal long after the treatment session. There is no discomfort during treatment—simply a deep, gentle warmth as your body responds to the light.”

Low level laser therapy, LLLT, also called cold laser therapy, causes no known risks or side effects and provides long-lasting pain relief. The light energy from low level lasers cannot cause burns or tissue damage. Each treatment session lasts only about 5–10 minutes and, although the full benefits of LLLT may require several treatment sessions, many patients experience significant improvement after the very first treatment. Low level laser therapy can be used alone or in combination with other treatments, such as physical therapy, massage therapy, chiropractic therapy, and acupuncture.

During low level laser therapy, light energy from hand-held lasers penetrates deep into the muscles, joints, bones, and tendons. This laser light stimulates a biochemical reaction that helps to repair damaged tissue and promote healing. LLLT provides faster results, as well as a high rate of patient satisfaction, and requires shorter treatment times than many other pain relief methods.

Many people who currently suffer with chronic pain may find relief through cold laser therapy.
