New Medical Clinic at Center for Haitian Studies to Host Open House on October 11th

was founded in 1989 for the purposes of improving the lives of the Haitian people and other disenfranchised populations living in underserved areas of Miami-Dade County. CHS is a vital source of education and training for healthcare providers and others who seek to better understand the Haitian culture, in addition to their community outreach via health fairs, broadcast media and one-on-one educational sessions.

Established in 1977, Miami Beach Community Health Center offers quality, comprehensive ambulatory healthcare to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of patients at six locations in Miami Beach, Little Haiti and North Miami, and a school-based care program at Miami Beach Senior High School. It is a member of Health Choice Network, a group of non-profit community health agencies in the State of Florida. MBCHC has emerged into a fully integrated medical network, offering a broad spectrum of services and Board-certified specialties such as family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, geriatrics, dental care, behavioral health and pharmacy.
