New Lawsuit alleges Actos caused Bladder Cancer
Date:7/3/2012

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) July 03, 2012

The media spotlight is often a double-edged sword. No one knows this better than Ralph Penrod and people who suffer from Actos Side Effects. And yet, gossip and rumor-mongering aside, the real story here is being overlooked according to Sean Burke of AttorneyOne.

According to court documents, on May 25th, 2012, Indiana man, Ralph Penrod, filed a lawsuit in Louisiana Western District Court (case no. 6:2012cv01340) alleging he suffered bladder cancer as a result of his use of the drug Actos. Actos, a popular medication used to control Type 2 diabetes manufactured by Takeda Pharmaceuticals, is allegedly linked to an increased risk of bladder cancer and other severe side effects. Plaintiff claims he was prescribed Actos in 2003 and took the medication until April 2011. He allegedly developed bladder cancer from Actos and underwent surgery in August 2011.

Penrod’s lawsuit is consolidated in the ongoing Actos Multi District Litigation (MDL 2299). On April 9th 2012, US District Judge Rebecca Doherty, overseeing the Actos Multidistrict Litigation signed a Direct Filing Order making it easier for individual plaintiffs to file lawsuit alleging injury caused by Actos.

AttorneyOne.com, a recognized authority on law, can provide helpful advice and simple solutions including how to get in contact with legal counsel so that, in case of severe adverse events from Actos, someone can easily and inexpensively deal with it. As Mr. Burke, director of Media Relations for AttorneyOne.com, added, “What all this information really illustrates is that threat from Actos remains. For that reason, our focus should squarely fall on getting the word out and assisting people in finding the right legal assistance.”

In June 2011, the US FDA
