New L-Carnitine and Green Coffee Bean Supplement, L-Carnitine Plus Now Available
Date:12/7/2012

Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) December 07, 2012

A new product, L-Carnitine Plus, combines the amino acid L-carnitine and green coffee bean extract. This supplement is intended to aid in weight loss..

The L-Carnitine Plus site lists “L-carnitine affects the body by transporting chains of fatty acids into the mitochondrial matrix, allowing fat cells to be broken down and used for energy.” The site goes on to describe Green Coffee Bean, another ingredient in their formula, “Green Coffee Bean allows your body to use stored fat as its primary energy source, rather than glycogen produced by the liver. This process allows your body to utilize stored fat cells for energy.” Studies seem to support the companies claims. The University of Scranton in Pennsylvania, have shown raw green coffee beans contain chlorogenic acid, which can inhibit the release of glucose in the body and potentially make the body turn to stored fats as an energy source, according to their study titled, Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, linear dose, crossover study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a green coffee bean extract in overweight subjects.

L-Carnitine Plus aims to support those in their weight loss efforts. One customer from San Jose, California writes, "I just started taking L-carnitine Plus Monday last week. I eat a fairly balanced diet with a cheat day once a week ( Saturday was my cheat day!) I work a desk job so my activity level isn't strenuous by any means but I do enjoy walks in the evening. Monday through Saturday morning I lost 6lbs without really changing my diet or activity level much at all.” The site claims that these results are not typical but do point to research as to how the science works behind it.
