Khouri, program director, Healthy Weight Program at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. "The recipes are designed to appeal to a broad range of tastes, the ingredients are easy to find and inexpensive, the instructions are clear, easy to read and will help children learn healthy eating can be FUN!"

Children's Hospital's Healthy Weight Program found that families and caregivers are always looking for new meal and snacks ideas that are both healthy and taste good. Nutrition in the Kitchen was designed to do just that, offer families an easily accessible, free resource for all children, whether at a healthy weight or carrying excess weight. The "cookbook team" included a clinical dietitian who drove the process, considering healthy alternatives and cooking techniques that presented an improvement to less healthy approaches. Patients involved in Children's Hospital's Healthy Changes Program, and members of the Youth Advisory Council, taste-tested many of the recipes presented on this
