New Hair Product Line Addresses Common Scalp Conditions of Teens and Tweens

Sarah Mullican and Janynne Stahl have launched Totally Texty, a new hair care product line to address the distinct scalp conditions and issues of teens and tweens. An informational website designed around common texting words popular with this age set promotes Totally Texty, formulated to solve a common teenage head smell problem and fill a gap in the teen hair care market.

(PRWEB) April 7, 2009 -- Totally Texty is the latest innovation in the teen and tween hair care marketplace. The texting abbreviations used in the product names announces that these shampoos and conditioners are specially formulated to address the scalp problems and resulting head smell of teens and tweens, aged 8 to 19.

Currently, there is no other salon grade shampoo or conditioner designed solely for this age group. Totally Texty has two formulations, ddg (texting shorthand for drop dead gorgeous) for girls and ytmn (you're the man now) for boys. Development is in the works for more items that will follow suit with the texting slang product names.

"Once our children became teenagers, we quickly grew tired of buying shampoo that did not address the specific needs of our teens' and tweens' hair and scalp. Nothing seemed to work, from salon brand shampoos to the discount brands," relates Sarah Mullican, President of k.w.l. Corp, and Janynne Stahl, Vice President.

Mullican goes on to explain that she did some research into shampoo ingredients and found that they were very similar--mainly soap and water and perfumes. She went on to work with a chemist in Indiana to formulate a shampoo and conditioner that would use a deodorizer mixed with the surfactant to address teenage scalp conditions and combat head smell.
