New Guidelines Released for Stroke Care

0 goal is to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent, as well as to continue to reduce deaths by cardiac diseases and stroke by 20 percent," Dr. Ralph Sacco, president of the American Heart Association and chairman of neurology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, said in the same news release. "Initiatives such as primary and now comprehensive stroke center certification will greatly help us reach our 2020 goal."

The guidelines and scientific statement appear in the Jan. 13 issue of Stroke.
