'I, Cancer' Offers Holistic Advice for Cancer Patients and Their Loved Ones

MOUNT SHASTA, Calif., April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- "For those who are touched by cancer there is no sweeter, more mystifying sound than the elusive words SPONTANEOUS REMISSION," writes Dr. Alan Cooper in his new book, "I, Cancer: The semi-Buddhist answer to dancing with Cancer ... "But what if this miraculous phenomenon was not a spontaneous event at all but was rather an entirely fundamental, even predictable endpoint on your heroic inner journey over the moat of fear and helplessness that surrounds your cancer?"

Cooper believes that a successful recovery from cancer can be achieved in part by using self-hypnosis and psychoneuroimmunology as core methods of treatment. Providing a much-needed philosophical, holistic discussion about why cancer has continued to plague and confound medical science, "I, Cancer" approaches patient recovery through the possibility of patient control with the implementation of Cooper's techniques. His revolutionary concepts propose that the physical matter of cancer can and must be changed from matter into energy. "I, Cancer" shows readers how to look within themselves to make this transformation, using contemplation, self-hypnosis, emotional therapy, prayer, meditation and other means.

"To recover from Cancer you don't have to re-invent the wheel, or design a new engine," Cooper writes. "You do, however, have to grab a hold of the steering and put
