New Fastrack Technology Improves Productivity
Date:8/27/2009

Fastrack HME, DME, IV Billing Software incorporates major technology advances to reduce operating costs and improve efficiencies for homecare providers.

(Vocus) August 27, 2009 -- Fastrack announced today the availability of significant technology enhancements designed to improve productivity for homecare providers.

According to Spencer Kay, President of Fastrack Healthcare Systems, “the technology enhancements impact major portions of our HME Billing, DME Billing, Infusion Pharmacy and Homecare Agency software offerings including our Networking Web Portal and e-Commerce Storefront Modules, customer service, warehouse operations, dispatching/routing of vehicles and the entire delivery and order confirmation process. Fastrack’s integrated use of technology is designed to improve the efficiency of the home healthcare provider’s operation and help reduce operating costs.”

Automated Email Order Confirmation
The Fastrack Automated Workflow Manager™ now includes the ability to have the system automatically generate emails upon confirmation of delivery of an order including to facilities and wholesale accounts. The email can be customized by the user to include order and delivery information. Fastrack clients utilizing the Delivery Automation Application can send the order confirmation email right from the driver’s handheld device in the field. Sending order confirmations eliminates the numerous calls received regarding the status of the order.

Enhanced Functionality for PDA Devices
Fastrack clients can now utilize virtually any PDA or combination of units including; Blackberry, Apple iPhone, Palm, Windows Mobile devices as well as Windows XP and Vista compatible tablet PCs and notebooks with the company’s Delivery Automation and Equipment Maintenance Tracking applications. The Delivery Automation Application allows the driver to capture delivery information including serial and lot numbers, cash collected and reasons for the refusal of items. The PDA’s automatically confirm the delivery real-time from the patient’s home or facility reducing staff time back in the office. Since the driver is scanning the bar code on the product he is also verifying it is the correct product ordered, eliminating delivery mistakes. PDA devices can also be used by Nurses and Respiratory Therapists to capture clinical data at the patient’s bedside and for capturing equipment maintenance information including equipment settings. In conjunction with the Fastrack Wireless Warehouse Module these devices can be used for order fulfillment in place of “paper” picking tickets, receiving and for physical inventory. Utilizing bar code technology, the order fulfillment function eliminates shipping the wrong product to the patient as each product picked is verified.

Increased Revenue with the Internet
Several new enhancements to Fastrack’s e-Commerce Storefront website include integrated order processing into the back office functions of the Fastrack HME Enterprise System. Orders placed on the Internet move seamlessly into the Fastrack durable medical equipment software eliminating the need to re-key order information, a major time saver that also reduces data entry errors. Fastrack offers the unique ability to capture the patient’s insurance, physician information and credit card information for co-pays unlike the typical storefront that only accepts credit cards. The Fastrack e-Commerce Storefront is fully customizable to meet the unique look and feel as well as requirements of the provider and provides an excellent source of additional revenue for providers without the need significant staff intervention.

Fastrack software and technology is designed to automate HME Software, DME Software, IV Billing, Pharmacy Billing, Infusion Billing and Homecare Billing. Fastrack was the first to offer an HME Hosted Solution. Fastrack will unveil these technology enhancements at the upcoming Medtrade Show, October 12th-15th, 2009, Booth #2238 in Atlanta, Georgia.
