New DoctorsElite Features Empower Doctors and Patients to Find Care Based on Diagnosis and Treatment in Real-Time
Date:7/13/2013

Gulfport, MS (PRWEB) July 13, 2013

DoctorsElite, a growing healthcare website founded by cardiologist Dr. Cyril V. K. Bethala, has added new features to make finding doctors easier than ever. In addition to being able to search for doctors by name, users now have access to thousands of new searchable diagnoses and treatments, a refined location radius search, more than 300 specialties and sub-specialties, and a more dynamic dashboard interface. Patients can now also add relatives and loved ones to maintain the whole family’s health records. Registration is free for doctors, patients, and medical facilities.

“This service is exactly what modern health care needs: Technology which allows patients to keep control of their own medical records and to research specialists independent from their health care plans,” says Dr. Kevin Michael Lowe, an Ohio Surgeon with Akron General Medical Center specializing in advanced liver, esophageal, and pancreas cancer surgery.

DoctorsElite provides resources for doctors seeking specialty care for their patients. It also serves as a professional communication hub, helping doctors consult with one another through a secure messaging platform. Doctors can also complete their own profiles, providing information about specialty areas, conditions, and procedures, making it easier for patients to find their practices.

“The greatest cost to the American health system has been disconnection. Disconnection of the patient and their personal physician who can guide the best care. Disconnection from the personal physician and specialist which has led to redundant or expensive care. Disconnection of the patient to facilities offering imaging or lab testing without any "skin" in the decision making about cost or risk. Finally, we have a place where the entire system can connect. I feel DoctorsElite will be the real "Medical Home" for patients, providers, and facilities,” says Dr. Stanford Allen Owen, a board certified nutrition and adult medicine physician.

Patients can now keep track of medical records for themselves and their families, all from one account. This new feature lets users track both long term and day-to-day changes in conditions, medications, vaccinations, insurance information, and more. This is especially helpful for users caring for young or elderly loved ones who may not be able to keep up with their own medical histories.

"When a registered doctor adds a diagnosis or treatment, it becomes available on their public profile immediately, making them easier for patients and other healthcare professionals to find in real-time," says Siva Subramanian, CTO of DoctorsElite.

DoctorsElite doctors range across all specialties and come from all parts of the US, including:

About DoctorsElite

It's always difficult to have yourself or a loved one diagnosed with an illness. It can become frustrating and even frightening when it feels like the options for treatment are limited. That’s why DoctorsElite was created: to empower people just like you with a free set of tools that make the search for better healthcare easier, cheaper, and faster.

With the internet, a staggering amount of information is freely available. The information a patient needs is out there, but it’s scattered and inconvenient to find with a popular search engine. Worse, it can be badly outdated or even entirely false. When it comes to helping users find the best care, DoctorsElite values accuracy and ease of use above all else. We also put control of content directly in the listed doctors’ hands, letting each physician maintain and update their own information.
