New Book Explains Fitness in Layman’s Terms
Date:8/28/2013

Fort Lauderdale, Florida (PRWEB) August 28, 2013

A growing number on the scale means you’re getting fatter. If you aren’t covered in sweat, you aren’t trying hard enough. Right?

Wrong.

A comprehensive guide to everything fitness, The Layperson’s Guide to Exercise, Diets, and Supplements offers first-hand insight into something most people go through life not understanding - their bodies.

A competitive athlete for most of his life, author Daniel Shamy, conditioned his body with different diets, training programs and nutritional supplements to acquire a physique most effective to compete in his respective sports. Altering his body not only took physical training, but more importantly dieting.

According to Shamy, to understand how to change your body, you first have to understand dieting and nutrition.

“Usually people associate physical development with training, but that is only a small part of the entire spectrum,” said Shamy. “Most fitness books include one or two of the three areas of fitness - exercise, diet and supplements – my book covers all three comprehensively.”

Shamy is not a certified trainer. Rather, he is a layperson, just like the reader, compelled to share his knowledge so the average person can understand the information and apply it to their own lives.

“Rather than giving a set of instructions based on a strategy,” said Shamy. “I offer insight as to the strategy itself. This way the reader can understand the methodology behind the instruction itself.”

About the author:
Born in Beirut, Lebanon and raised outside of Atlantic City, Daniel J. Shamy was trained by his father to be a competitive athlete since he could walk, competing in a variety of sports requiring different physical conditioning. Shamy did not want to be a professional athlete; rather, his dreams were in following his father’s footsteps in business. At 37 years old, Shamy today owns a multitude of successful businesses in diversified industries. Shamy also acts as managing partner of a midsized law firm in Florida, co-founded in 2002. Despite his love for business, he presently remains active in sports and training.
