Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) August 26, 2013

Dr. Marisa C. Chang, a board-certified neurologist in Los Angeles at Neurological Associates of West Los Angeles (http://www.NeurologyWestLA.com), was honored by Super Doctors® and recognized as a Southern California Rising Star in Neurology. Rising Stars are identified as top physicians in their field by their peers, who have been practicing less than 10 years and represent no more than 2.5% of neurologists in practice "It is an honor to be recognized for your accomplishments by your peers," says Dr. Chang.

“There is no one more deserving of this recognition than Dr. Chang," says Dr. Sheldon E. Jordan, Neurologist at Neurological Associates of West Los Angeles. "She has accomplished more in her short career than many neurologists do in their lifetime and we are thrilled that Super Doctors has recognized her as a Rising Star in Neurology.”

Dr. Chang’s achievements include being the first neurologist to ever complete an Orofacial Pain Fellowship with the prestigious UCLA Orofacial Pain Program through the UCLA School of Dentistry. She was Chief Resident of Neurology while at UCLA. Although she has earned numerous accolades in her career, Dr. Chang views her greatest accomplishment as the relationship she has with her patients. She feels that dedicated and highly personalized care is essential for bringing the patient the maximum benefits from her exceptional training.

Dr. Chang is in private practice at Neurological Associates of West Los Angeles in Santa Monica, CA, with Dr. Sheldon Jordan, Dr. Edward O’Connor and Dr. Russell Shimizu, all of whom are recognized by Super Doctors as top neurologists in Los Angeles.
