NeuroFocus Appoints Dr. Michael Smith as Partner in Consulting Practice

Distinguished Neuroscientist, Noted For His Discoveries About Attention And Memory, Joins World's Leading Neuromarketing Company

BERKELEY, Calif., April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- NeuroFocus, the world leader in the rapidly-growing field of neuromarketing--defined as the application of brainwave-based measurements for market research purposes--announced that Dr. Michael Smith has been named a Partner in the company's Consulting Practice.

Dr. Smith is highly regarded in the international scientific community for his pioneering research in neuroscience, which has led to key discoveries about human brain physiology related to memory and attention. He holds multiple patents for advanced applications of EEG (electroencephalogram) methods, and has authored more than fifty articles published in leading scientific journals.

Dr. Smith joins the company from his previous position as President of CorTech Labs Inc., where he guided the market launch of the first FDA-approved software product for quantitative analysis of MRIs (Magnetic Resonance Images) for the assessment of brain atrophy in patients with Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders.
